    • Faculty - Technologies (Artificial Intelligence) in Memphis

      Southwest Tennessee Community College is in the process of developing and launching a new Artificial Intelligence Technology program. As a result, this position will play an important role in supporting early-stage curriculum development, program planning, and implementation, in addition to teaching responsibilities. This is a full-time academic-year (9-month) appointment faculty position reporting to the Department Chair of Technologies. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related academic activities in the assigned discipline. Teaching responsibilities include foundational and advanced Artificial Intelligence topics such as Python programming, data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence tools and frameworks, neural networks, and ethical considerations in AI. Primary responsibilities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, curriculum development, student assessment, and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. The faculty member plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the Artificial Intelligence curriculum and integrating hands-on, applied learning experiences into the program.
