Brief Job Overview/Summary

The Biology program at Stockton University seeks to fill a one-year, full-time, Non-Tenure Track Teaching Position beginning September 1, 2025. Responsibilities include teaching lecture and laboratory courses for our one-year introductory biology sequence: Cells and Molecules, and Biodiversity and Evolution. The ability to also teach Anatomy and Physiology lecture and lab is preferred.

Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Teach 32 credit hours per academic year (16 credits per semester), with lectures carrying 4 credit hours and laboratories carrying 2 credit hours
  • Contribute to laboratory coordination and preparation
  • Participate in service to the Biology Program, School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NAMS) and/or University as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in biology or a closely related discipline
  • Relevant teaching experience in biology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in biology or a closely related discipline
  • Record of exemplary teaching at the university level as evidenced by student and peer evaluations
  • Experience with course development and active learning strategies
