Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean of Education is expected to provide leadership and vision; foster high-quality academic programs; prioritize student academic success; develop and support faculty and staff; provide direction and leadership for academic programs; establish new relationships and enhance existing partnerships with community stakeholders; increase enrollment in undergraduate and graduate programs; oversee the operation of the SRI & ETTC in a manner that strengthens its fiscal health and integrates with University educational and extracurricular activities; diversify revenue through programming, continuing education, community partnerships, grants, and fundraising opportunities; and, effectively manage the School’s fiscal and physical resources. Additionally, the School prepares pre-service and in-service educators for licensure, which requires continuous national accreditation (Association for Advancing Quality in Teacher Preparation, AAQEP) and compliance with state and federal reporting regulations. |
