Career Educator and Counselor in Arnold/Main Campus
The Career Educator and Counselor is responsible for embedding career work into the student experience through two primary functions within the career center: Career Education: Responsible for educating students and the college community about career development topics, including career exploration, labor market information, job search strategies, résumé and cover letter writing, interview skills, branding, networking skills, and career readiness competencies. Facilitates career development for students through curriculum and co-curriculum activities and events, and connections with employers, the community, and other resources. Career Counseling: Responsible for facilitating career planning and counseling services for students, including career exploration, planning, occupational and labor market information, and administration and interpretation of career assessments. This position will be assigned to a caseload of students and will work closely with other career counseling professionals.

Instructor/Assistant Professor, Nursing in Arnold/Main Campus
Are you an educator who believes that education serves the greater good by providing all students access to a better life? Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) may be the place for you. A strong nurse candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to teach introductory and upper college-level nursing students who are part of a diverse student population. Bi-lingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply. Experience in nursing guidelines for quality assurance, regulations, proficiency testing, is required. Additionally, nursing skills, and the ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment as well as excellence in oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are expected and bi-lingual candidates are preferred. The position will require in-state travel to affiliate clinical sites. Candidates should be committed to student-centered, outcomes-based education with experience incorporating multiple instructional strategies and the use of technology in teaching and learning. Teaching assignments are 15 faculty load hours per semester. Courses to be instructed include lecture (including online), lab, and activity classes in the Nursing program. Full-time faculty are expected to participate on committees in the department, school of health sciences, and the college. Additionally, candidates should be proven team-players with an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.

The Advising Associate is responsible for providing comprehensive customer service in person and remotely via telephone, e-mail, and online chat. The Advising Associate will serve as the Response Center’s primary point of contact for callers seeking information on programs of study offered by the college and the process of transfer. Other required areas of knowledge include unique advising requirements related to specific programs of study relating to Health Professions. Assist with financial aid using confidentiality and access to financial aid data to be in compliance with the Higher Education Act, registration, records, admissions, and providing assistance to students and staff promptly, courteously, and accurately.

The Response Center Agent provides comprehensive customer service in person and via telephone, mail, chat, and email. The Response Center Agent is responsible for responding to inquiries and providing general assistance in admissions, records, and registration, academic advising, general college information, off-campus locations, continuing education, and financial aid to students, faculty, and staff promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Response Center Agent is responsible for maintaining and growing their knowledge about the college as a whole and each department we assist directly.
