Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Volleyball Statistician is responsible for meticulously tracking and recording game and player statistics during live volleyball matches.

As part of the Volleyball Statistician game day team, this person may serve as either a computer operator or a stat spotter.

Key responsibilities of the position include

Live Game Tracking: Attend all scheduled games (home and away) and accurately record real-time statistics for both individual players and the team.

Data Entry and Management: Input collected statistics into designated software or databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data.

Communication: Effectively communicate statistical insights.

Software Proficiency: Utilize relevant sports statistics software for data entry, analysis, and report generation.

Rule Familiarity: Maintain a thorough understanding of volleyball rules and statistical scoring regulations.

Accuracy and Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of all recorded and reported statistics.

Timely Reporting: Provide reports and analysis in a timely manner to facilitate effective decision-making.

Data Integrity: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of collected data through rigorous quality control processes.

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for extended periods during games.
Manual dexterity for using computer and inputting data quickly and accurately.
