Program Assistant, Elon in NYC in Elon University Campus
This position will report to the Director of Study USA. Responsibilities include serving as the primary on-the-ground contact and support person for students enrolled in Elon in NYC, a Study USA summer program. This position will also support alumni events and Student Professional Development Center networking opportunities in NYC. The 10-week program runs from May 27-July 26, 2025, with the candidate living full-time in NYC May 26-July 27. Evening and weekend work required. This position is also required to attend some of the weekly pre-departure pilot classes on the main campus in February, March, and April and work with the Global Experiential Learning Coordinator, faculty director, and campus partners in the spring to create a robust program calendar for students. The intern will be housed with program participants in a residence hall operated by New York University (NYU) in a single room in a shared apartment with another person not from the program. A NYC metro card will be provided for the duration of the program. Mandatory training in Elon’s Student Life, Student Care and Outreach, Title IX, the Cleary Act, and Inclusive Excellence policies and protocols will also be provided prior to the program start date. This internship also satisfies one of the two MHE internship requirements. The internship supervisor will meet weekly with the intern to provide strong supervision and facilitate professional learning. This position is compensated through free NYC housing and a $7,000 stipend.

Assistant Professor of Performing Arts in Scenic or Lighting Design in Elon University Campus
Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences invites application for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Performing Arts, beginning mid-August, 2025. The Scenic and Lighting Design faculty position will teach three classes per academic year; mentor student designers and technicians; design scenery for 2-3 productions per year and lighting for 4-6 productions per year, alternating departments yearly; and oversee technical areas related to Scenic Painting and Electrics. Since this is a dual position, we plan to alternate duties in the Scenic area and the Lighting area yearly and bring in guest artists to cover other needs. Classes taught by this position may include: Scenic Painting, Lighting Design, Lighting Design for Dance, Drafting and Model Building, Technical Production in Theatre, Advanced Projects (mentorship), and other courses in the discipline or in the Elon Core Curriculum. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage shops, inventories, and undergraduate student workers successfully. The faculty member will manage and participate in production processes like strikes, lighting hang and focus calls, technical rehearsals and production work. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential for success as a Teacher-Scholar-Mentor at a liberal arts university and will demonstrate enthusiasm and personal work in equity-minded pedagogies and art-making practices.

Regional Assistant Director of Admissions in Off-Campus
The regional assistant director of admissions is responsible for all aspects of undergraduate recruitment for students from Texas. In addition, this role will also provide territory management for Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. The regional assistant director gives university information to prospective students and families through various communication methods. The regional assistant director is also responsible for territory development, along with building and maintaining strong relationships with high schools, counselors, and being active in relevant regional associations. The position is an 11-month regional position, and the ideal candidate will reside within the Dallas Metroplex.
