Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification
- $17.00 / hour – Starting
- $17.50 / hour – Starting with previous experience.
- $20.00 / hour – Once on Repair Station.
- $25.00 / hour - Once on Repair Station (with A&P).
Purpose of Position
To assist the Avionics Manager, Avionics Technicians with troubleshooting, inspections and repairs of avionics equipment. Also, assisting Maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repairing electronic / electrical problems.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Avionics Technician Assistants are responsible to work with the Avionics Manager.
- Assist Avionics Technicians assist in troubleshooting, inspection and repairs of avionics equipment.
- Creating work orders and ensuring proper paperwork is obtained.
- Assisting Maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting and repairing of electronic/electrical problems.
- Assist in troubleshooting and correcting discrepancies involving the airworthiness of an aircraft.
- Assist in the fabricating of wiring harnesses and test panels.
- Completing monthly Navigation data updates.
- Keeping workplace in a clean and orderly environment.
- Performing other duties as required
Required Competencies
- Must have flexible work schedule
- Must be able to work independently
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a driver's license
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
