Purpose of Position
Assist with and independently perform experiments. Oversee routine laboratory maintenance.
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform experiments Study molecular mechanisms of breast cancer cell reprogramming using multiple genomics methods
- Write manuscripts and present and local and/or international meetings
Required Competencies
- Must be fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Know (or be willing to learn) the basis of biochemistry, cell biology, genomics, and bioinformatics data analysis
Minimum Requirements
- Experience with molecular biology techniques, including accurate and efficient pipetting.
- Experience with - or strong interest in learning - cell culture, genomic assays, and gene-editing methodologies (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9)
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
