Salary/Position Classification

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position in Dr. Huang's research lab. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The student will assist with catalyst synthesis and carry out basic characterization.
  • The student will help set up and monitor electrocatalytic reactions, including preparing materials, recording data during testing, and analyzing results afterward.

Required Competencies

  • Basic laboratory experience, especially in material synthesis

    · Familiarity with safety procedures in a lab setting

    · Ability to follow instructions and document results clearly

    · Interest in catalysis, nanomaterials, or energy research

    · Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Minimum Requirements

  • Major or minor in chemistry
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • · Completed coursework in General Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry
    · Prior laboratory experience in chemistry
