Salary/Position Classification

  • $17.50 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • summer – 40hr/week, and semester – 10 hr/week hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.


Undergrad part-time student position working this summer and continuing into the fall semester for a sophomore who has Chemical Engineering courses.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct an exploratory research project with UND researchers using laboratory experiments, analytical measurements, and data analysis.
  • The project is to generate seed data for future longer-term research projects for the Energy Sovereignty for Indigenous Peoples (ESIP) global initiative

Required Competencies

  • Sound leadership skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Completion of sophomore-level chemical engineering courses, CHE201, CHE206, and CHE315. Have an interest towards exploring research as a possible career opportunity.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
