Salary/Position Classification

  • $15/hour undergrad, $17/hour grad student, hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Grade ENGR 203 (Mechanics of Materials) homework using the provided solutions from the instructor.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate student homework submissions using designated solutions
  • Identify and highlight instances of academic integrity violations within homework assignments
  • Precisely record homework assessments within Blackboard grade book
  • Ensure expedited turnaround for homework evaluation, adhering to a 2-3 day timeline (homework submitted Friday graded by Sunday)
  • Continuation of employment throughout the standard academic term is contingent upon demonstrated proficiency and excellence in performance 

Minimum Requirements

  • Attainment of "B" grade in Statics and Mechanics of Materials at the University of North Dakota
  • Junior or senior status within Civil or Mechanical Engineering program at the University of North Dakota
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
  • Demonstrated capability to comprehend and analyze various problem-solving methodologies
    Able to read and interpret multiple problem-solving strategies
