Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position open to graduate students.
The Graduate Studies Administrative GSA will report to the Director of Graduate Studies and work in the main School of Graduate Studies office. The person in this position can expect assist with the administrative functions of the office including projects and support for the Dean, Director of Graduate Studies, and Faculty Fellows.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with the Director on initiatives to standardize and proofread academic catalog entries and course and policy updates.
- Duties may include written or oral communication with faculty, catalog template development, or providing recommended changes to departments.
- Provide support for the Mentors Helping Mentors program to include workshop setup and planning, attending workshops to provide support to the facilitators, tracking attendance, and other assistance as needed.
- Provide support for graduate faculty mentor training and the Graduate Leaders Institute.
- Support the Hawk Central Faculty Fellow in their efforts to champion the use of Hawk Central and the SGS customizations to support graduate students.
- Duties may include written and oral communication with faculty across campus, assisting with faculty training, or assist with development of training materials.
- Support the Handbooks & Policy Faculty Fellow in their efforts to ensure all graduate programs maintain up to date handbooks.
- Duties may include research and benchmarking, written and oral communication with graduate program directors, formatting documents and ensuring accessibility, or collection of handbooks for a central repository.
- Provide event day support for Graduate Studies signature events.

Minimum Requirements
- Eligible for a graduate assistantship (enrolled in a graduate program, in good academic standing, and enrolled in 6 credits or more)
- Available 20 hours/week between the hours of 8-4:30 Monday-Friday.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of proven experience providing excellent customer service in a professional setting.
- Experience with creating accessible documents
- Ability to work through the end of the spring 2026 semester
- Experience leading meetings in Zoom
