Purpose of Position
The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-level administrative and professional support to the Student Success & Well-Being Program, other well-being programming and SAA, to ensure efficient office operation through foresight, troubleshooting, collaboration, and organization. This position will also plan and execute daily departmental activities and special events, through coordination with department staff, SMHS departments, and outside entities.
Duties & Responsibilities
First Point of Contact for Student Success and Well-Being
1. Greet and assist visitors
2. Provide general front desk duties including answering phone and reception
3. Assist with conference room and interview room scheduling via Outlook
4. Enter and maintain student tracking information
Provide Support to Student Success and Well-Being Program Staff
1. Provide clerical support to the Assistant Director of Student Success & Well-Being and SAA
2. Assist with scheduling meetings and room reservations
3. Create and maintain spreadsheets for current, incoming, and outgoing students
4. Enter and maintain student tracking information
Other Miscellaneous Tasks
1. Work with SAA Assistant for website updates
2. Attend professional development training as required by supervisor
3. Assist at least one graduation ceremony per year
4. Draft, edit, duplicate and disseminate/process correspondence, reports, presentations, and proposals

- Ability to accurately complete immediate tasks and goals while simultaneously working on long range projects.
- Willingness to learn new software programs as required by the American Association of Medical Colleges (ERAS, FIRST, CiM, etc.).
- Ability to maintain and update various databases using multiple formats and platforms.
- Ability to relate to and assist medical school applicants, students, and others needing assistance.
- Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends.
- Willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and provide professional service in a welcoming, understanding, and empathetic manner, to people from a variety of diverse social and economic backgrounds.

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of administrative experience in a professional office setting that includes receptionist duties
- Experience with standard software applications including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in directly related area
- Three years of equivalent relevant experience
- Experience with Qualtrics, or similar types of survey software
- Experience with other systems used at UND: Blackboard, Starfish, Adobe, Zoom, TEAMS
- Experience working in Higher Education and professional office setting
