Salary/Position Classification

  • $44,000 annual, non-exempt (eligible for overtime)
  • 40 hours per week
  • This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.

Purpose of Position

In this essential role, you'll be supporting our faculty and Dean with diverse administrative responsibilities. From proofreading exams and managing correspondence to assisting with legal research and ensuring accessibility compliance, you'll contribute directly to our students' educational journey. You'll also provide executive support to the Dean, coordinate faculty hiring processes, and help maintain the smooth operation of our academic community.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support faculty with course materials, exam preparation, and student communications
  • Assist with accessibility compliance and inclusive educational practices
  • Coordinate faculty hiring processes and travel arrangements
  • Provide executive assistance and project management for the Dean
  • Manage office operations, supplies, and facility coordination
  • Conduct legal research and assist with academic projects

Required Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships and the demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of the law school faculty, staff, and students.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service and technology skills.
  • Must have strong editing and proofreading skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Four years of directly related work experience; may substitute education for directly related work experience.
  • Proficient skills working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Pro software.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years professional experience working as an administrative assistant.
