Salary/Position Classification

• $10,000 contract, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 5-12 hours per week

Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to provide effective teaching in the area of First Amendment Law & Writing at the University of North Dakota School of Law.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Effective teaching in the area of First Amendment Law & Writing.

Required Competencies

• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff colleagues
• Eagerness to work closely with law students
• Ability to teach in the curricular area of interest
• Ability to work and collaborate in a diverse, multicultural, and inclusive setting

Minimum Requirements

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed member in good standing of the bar in any U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction
• At least 9 year's recent work experience teaching at an ABA Accredited Law School
• Experience teaching a course that satisfies ABA Standard 303(a)(2)
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
