Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Duties include scrubbing pots and pans and loading dishes onto dish machine
- Sorts dishes, silverware, tray and pans, washes them, returns clean dishes to designated storage areas
- Checks dishes, silverware, trays and pans to ensure proper cleaning
- Operates dish machine according to instructions
- Follow dish room checklists
- Other duties may include sweeping and mopping
- Maintains a clean and sanitary dish room
- Removes garbage from dish room, rinse and sanitize garbage cans
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Able to stand on one's feet for 3 -4 hours
- Must be able to adhere to all safety and sanitation policies which include removal of all jewelry and piercings except for a plain wedding band while working in our facilities.
- Hairnets and beard restraints are also a requirement in our food preparation area
- Incumbents should have an optimistic attitude, willingness to learn new skills, high degree of integrity, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to move 35 – 50 pounds
- Able to work in various temperatures associated with dish machine operations
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
