- $35,360 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- 40 hours per week
- Sunday – Thursday, 5:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. with occasional day shift work.
- This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.

Be a part of cutting-edge research, engage with professionals who share your passion, and create work you can be proud of. As a Building Services Technician, you will contribute to the success of the organization through one or more of the following:
- Performing custodial work required for the cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of buildings
- Moving furniture and equipment; collecting waste, paper and recycling materials; performing other custodial duties as required
- Scrubbing, mopping, and sweeping floors and other surfaces; cleaning, renovating, and renewing floor surface finishes
- Washing windows, walls, and woodwork
- Cleaning and disinfecting public restrooms
- Cleaning and dusting furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, and related furnishings
- Sweeping and cleaning walks, removing snow, and generally assisting in keeping outside premises clean and orderly
- Locking and unlocking doors; providing limited security when buildings are not occupied
- Reporting minor and major maintenance and equipment issues to appropriate personnel
- Reading and comprehending directions on labels for mixing chemicals safely
- Completing necessary training for this job classification
- Comprehending and following directions
- Using sound decision-making skills
- Must be able to withstand long periods of lifting, pulling, tugging, climbing, and kneeling without restrictions
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds daily and frequently
- Must be able to move 100 pounds with assistance occasionally
- Must be able to work in buildings containing asbestos materials
- Subject to callbacks 24-7
- All other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
- A high school degree, GED, or equivalent directly related experience
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Basic desktop computer experience and knowledge
- Experience with materials, equipment, and methods used in the cleaning and upkeep of buildings
