Salary/Position Classification

  • 12.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 5-10 hours per week

Purpose of Position

The Chief of Staff for Strategic Initiatives & Engagement for Student Government supports senate projects and goals, helping senators navigate administration, coordinate logistics, and gather information. It enhances collaboration with the Student Body President and university administration, providing support and connections.

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist senators in developing and advancing projects, initiatives, and legislation
  • Coordinate with university departments and administrators to support Senate initiatives
  • Facilitate communication between senators, the Executive Branch, and university admin
  • Support Senate outreach, engagement efforts, and special projects
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of Senate-led programs and events

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a UND student
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
