Purpose of Position
- This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn high performance computing environment, Linux operating system, and numerical methods and simulation workflows needed for the research work
- Prepare and setup simulation including geometry and mesh generation
- Perform numerical simulations using in-house developed computer code
- Process simulation results, create research report and write research paper for publication.
Minimum Requirements
- Able to work independently and remain task-driven
- Good computer programming skills
- Knowledge of computer simulation.
- Completed course work in ME306 and ME341.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
