Position Summary:
The Petree College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a non-tenure track renewable position of Assistant Professor of Education beginning August 2025. This is a part-time 9-month teaching position with a 2/2 load.
Teaching, Scholarship, and Service Requirements:
- Teach two 3-hour courses per semester in Education, which may include undergraduate and/or graduate level courses, as determined by the department chair.
- Develop and implement effective pedagogical strategies to enhance student learning.
- Advise and mentor students as needed.
- The candidate should be willing to assist the department chair with recruitment and retention, data collection and analysis, and accreditation processes.
- The successful candidate will participate in other service to the department and university, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education required; Doctorate preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment and retention strategies.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills.
- Knowledge of accreditation processes in higher education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience.
