      Counseling Psychologist in Las Cruces

      We are seeking a dedicated psychologist to join CAPS. Join a collaborative and student-centered counseling team dedicated to supporting wellbeing, access, and student success within a diverse university community. This position provides culturally responsive counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to students presenting a broad range of social, developmental, and psychiatric concerns, while partnering with students to create meaningful treatment plans, coordinate referrals, and deliver compassionate crisis response that promotes safety and resilience. The role includes conducting psycho-diagnostic and safety assessments, consulting with multidisciplinary colleagues, supervising trainees, and developing innovative outreach programs and workshops that reflect the strengths and experiences of a multicultural campus — including Latinx, immigrant, first-generation, and other underrepresented students. You will collaborate with university partners, community mental health resources, and advocacy organizations to enhance holistic care and prevention efforts. Qualified candidates will hold a PhD or PsyD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology and must be licensed as a Psychologist in good standing in the State of New Mexico at the time of hire, bringing a strong commitment to inclusive practice, collaboration, and making a lasting impact on students’ lives.
