To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Full unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse  
  • Experience in Aged Care Nursing and/or 2+ years general nursing experience, post-registration  
  • Familiar with the Aged Care Act 1997 
  • Knowledge and demonstrated commitment to Quality and Aged Care Standards  
  • Affinity and experience (or willingness to gain experience) working with residents with dementia  
  • Current First Aid Certificate  
  • Excellent communication and clinical problem-solving skills  
  • Excellent Team player who is highly motivated  
  • Previous experience in providing education including in-service, and staff orientation  
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, internet/intranet skills, email communication, and confidence with smart phones and digital devices  
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety  
  • A requirement to meet National Accreditation competency – CPD hours of 20 minimum yearly standards.  
  • LeeCare experience highly regarded

Pre-employment screening

The successful candidate is required to have completed/have a willingness to undertake the following:- 

  • Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy. (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza) 
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Check 
  • Undertake Probity checks 
  • Pre-Employment Medical Assessment
