The opportunity
We are looking for a Personal Carer to join our team at Rathgar Lodge in our North Western Region. You will make a difference to our residents by facilitating positive health and well-being options for individuals, their families, and carers.
- Provision of a wide range of Person-Centred Care duties
- Assistance with medication (if you are assessed as medication competent) and wound dressing
- Assistance in daily living activities
- Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love
We are also willing to invest in training and offer you all the support you might need to succeed in your role.
What you will need:
- Certificate III in Aged Care Support or be actively working towards obtaining this qualification.
- Knowledge of contemporary regulatory requirements related to Aged Care.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in identifying and meeting resident care needs using a holistic approach and having priority regard for the resident and the person responsible.
- Should possess tolerance, patience and empathy for residents and their needs.
- Understands the process of Continuous Quality Improvement, Work, Health & Safety and Infection Prevention and Control.
- Possess good levels of written and oral communication and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrates ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment and shows a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work according to strict guidelines.
