The Opportunity

We are looking for a Food Services Assistant - Melrose Hostel to join our team at Melrose Hostel in our Sydney Region. 

Duties will include (but not limited to): -

  • Preparation evening meals as resident’s requests
  • Planning for resident’s special requests and dietary needs, as well as likes and dislikes
  • Participating and maintaining the HACCP program continually striving for improvement
  • Maintain clean and tidy kitchen, include clean-up of spills and hazard prevention
  • Report and defects or maintains requirements
  • Keep up to date with latest food safety, handling and equipment standards
  • Follow required hygiene guidelines as per HACCP
  • Will to complete Food Safety Training as per food safety standards, will to complete Senior First Aide Certificate
  • Work as team member as per UPA values and have good communication skills
