The Opportunity

We are looking for a Cook to join our team in Jindera. A great opportunity exists, with availability required on weekends, for someone to perform cooking and kitchen duties.

We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility. 

What you will bring to the role: 

  • Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals
  • Experience in table service and clearing duties
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation – desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
  • Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
  • Experience in Aged Care desirable 
  • Current First Aid Certificate desirable 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Team player who is highly motivated 
  • Availability to work various shifts across various days

Pre-employment screening

The successful candidate is required to have completed/have a willingness to undertake the following:- 

  • Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy. (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza) 
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Check 
  • Pre-Employment Medical Assessment 
  • NDIS Clearance
