Part time job with 7.5 hours per week (Fridays - 06:30-14:30 hrs)
The Opportunity
We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility.
What you will need
- Experienced in bulk cooking, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
- Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Understanding of residents rights, person-centred care and dignity of risk
- Ability to manage change efficiently and effectively
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and Special Dietary needs
- Experience in Aged Care desirable
- Current First Aid Certificate desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player who is highly motivated
- Availability to work weekend shifts
