The Opportunity

Are you energetic, creative, and love bringing joy to others? We’re looking for a Lifestyle Officer to join our team on a Part- time basis (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat & Sub).

In this role, you’ll be the heartbeat of resident engagement—designing and delivering activities that spark joy, connection, and wellbeing.

  • Create and run fun, engaging, and meaningful activities
  • Encourage social connection, independence, and wellbeing
  • Lead programs that support mental health and lifestyle choices
  • Track participation and tweak programs to keep things fresh and effective

In fulfilling the role, it is essential that you have:

  • The ability to plan, organise, and lead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needs while also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
  • The ability to assess and document the effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changing the programs as needed
  • Minimum of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Previous experience within an aged care setting
  • Highly developed organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to solve problems independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, internet/intranet skills, email communication, and confidence with smart phones and digital devices
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety

Pre-employment screening

The successful candidate is required to have completed/have a willingness to undertake the following:- 

  • Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy. (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza) 
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Check 
  • Pre-Employment Medical Assessment
