Project Manager – Major Works
UPA is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Major Works to lead the successful delivery of major capital projects across our diverse property portfolio. This client-side leadership role will manage projects from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, programme, quality and safety requirements.
Working within UPA’s Property Projects team, you will coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal disruption to residents, staff and operations.

Our Property Department manages a circa $350 million portfolio including residential aged care facilities, retirement villages and other operational and non-operational assets. The Projects team delivers a diverse capital works programme, including developments, refurbishments, upgrades and compliance projects across NSW.
The Opportunity
As Project Manager – Major Works, you will play a key role in delivering complex capital works projects by:

Leading end-to-end project delivery from business case approval through to handover and defects close-out.

Managing project scope, programmes, budgets, risks, quality and compliance requirements.

Coordinating consultants, contractors and stakeholders across all project phases.

Supporting procurement, contract administration, cost management and construction delivery.

Ensuring projects meet operational needs while maintaining a resident-first approach.
What You Will Bring
You will have:
-
5+ years’ experience delivering complex building, infrastructure or capital works projects.

Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants and contractors.

Strong knowledge of project controls, procurement, contracts, cost forecasting and risk management.

Understanding of NSW planning, building and WHS requirements.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Relevant qualifications in project management, construction, engineering, property or a related discipline.
Experience in aged care, retirement living, health, disability accommodation or other live operating environments will be highly regarded.
