At UPA Aged Care Solutions, we're looking for an experienced and compassionate Return to Work Business Partner to join our People & Culture – WHS team based at our Wahroonga Head Office.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting injured or unwell employees through their recovery while partnering with leaders to create safe, sustainable and successful return-to-work outcomes. You'll make a genuine impact by helping our people feel supported, valued and empowered every step of the way.
About the Role
As our Return to Work Business Partner, you will manage and coordinate end-to-end return-to-work programs across the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements while delivering exceptional care and support to our employees.
Working collaboratively with managers, insurers, medical practitioners, rehabilitation providers and key stakeholders, you'll develop tailored recovery plans that prioritise employee wellbeing while supporting positive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate individual Return to Work Plans that support safe and sustainable recoveries.

Partner with managers, employees, insurers, rehabilitation providers and medical professionals to facilitate successful return-to-work outcomes.

Manage workers compensation and injury management cases from commencement through to resolution.

Monitor employee progress, review recovery plans and implement adjustments where required.

Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on injury management, rehabilitation and legislative obligations.

Build trusted relationships with employees by providing compassionate support throughout their recovery journey.

Promote a proactive safety culture through education, early intervention initiatives and wellbeing programs.

Maintain accurate case documentation and reporting while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
About You
You'll be an empathetic professional who enjoys building strong relationships and helping people achieve positive outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

Experience managing Return to Work, Workers Compensation or Injury Management cases.

Sound knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation legislation and return-to-work best practice.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.

A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Movement, Occupational Rehabilitation, Workplace Health & Safety, Allied Health or a related discipline (highly regarded).

Return to Work Coordinator certification (desirable).
