Talent Acquisition Partner

Wahroonga | Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 from home

We’re looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner who genuinely enjoys recruitment and wants to have a real impact.

At UPA Aged Care Solutions, you’ll work across a broad mix of clinical, operational and corporate roles. Some vacancies will be straightforward. Others will need a bit more creativity, persistence and good recruitment know-how.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to manage your vacancies, build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates, and use a mix of sourcing methods to find the right people.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to how we improve recruitment across UPA – from workforce planning and talent pipelines through to candidate experience, sourcing strategy and recruitment data.

Why join UPA?

As part of the team, you’ll have access to:

  • Not-for-profit salary packaging – up to $15,900 for living expenses plus $2,650 for meals and entertainment

  • Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 from home, with flexibility to choose your office days

  • Access to UPA’s Wellness Program

  • Employee Assistance Program

  • Ongoing learning, development and career opportunities

  • A supportive team where your ideas and recruitment experience are genuinely valued

  • Plenty of variety across a large organisation rather than recruiting the same roles every day

UPA is a values-based, not-for-profit aged care organisation that has been supporting communities for more than 80 years.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing recruitment end-to-end, from taking the brief through to offer

  • Proactively sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, SEEK, direct approaches and talent pools

  • Building pipelines for difficult and recurring vacancies

  • Partnering with hiring managers and providing practical recruitment advice

  • Screening, interviewing and managing candidates throughout the process

  • Writing engaging job advertisements and selecting the right sourcing channels

  • Managing multiple vacancies and priorities at the same time

  • Using recruitment data and market insights to help guide decisions

  • Supporting workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Maintaining a strong candidate experience from first contact through to onboarding

What we’re looking for

You’ll already have solid recruitment experience and be comfortable managing your own workload.

You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be someone who takes ownership, follows things through and is prepared to change approach when a role is proving difficult.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Strong end-to-end recruitment experience

  • Confidence with proactive sourcing and direct candidate engagement

  • Experience managing multiple vacancies at once

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • The confidence to provide advice and challenge a hiring manager when needed

  • Good judgement around candidate markets, salaries and sourcing channels

  • Experience using LinkedIn, SEEK and an ATS – PageUp experience would be a bonus

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail

  • A relevant qualification in HR, Business, Psychology or a related discipline

Healthcare or aged care recruitment experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. We’re more interested in finding a strong recruiter who learns quickly, builds relationships and knows how to find good people.

How we work

We work on a 3 days in the office / 2 days working from home model.

The three office days are required, but you choose which days work best for you and your week.

You’ll be based with our Corporate team in Wahroonga and work closely with leaders and facilities across UPA.

A bit about the team

You’ll be joining a busy Talent Acquisition function where we’re focused on getting good outcomes without making recruitment more complicated than it needs to be.

There’s plenty happening across UPA, so this role will suit someone who enjoys variety, likes solving recruitment problems and wants the freedom to contribute rather than simply work through a queue of requisitions.

You’ll be supported, but you’ll also be trusted to own your work and get on with it.

If you enjoy recruitment, like building relationships and get a bit of satisfaction from finding the person everyone else said was impossible to find, we’d like to hear from you.

Apply with your CV and tell us a little about the type of recruitment you enjoy most.
