Employment Status: 2-year Fixed Term Contract
Days & Hours of Work: 5 days, totalling 38 hours per week.
Competitive Salary: Band 6 - 101,833.74 p.a. + 12% superannuation.
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, including attendance at construction sites – minimum 3 days per week onsite, with flexibility to work from home for up to 2 days per week (pending business requirements).

About the Role:

The Project Manager, Community Projects provides end to end Project Management Services to deliver Open Space and Community Infrastructure Projects from inception to delivery. This role will support the wider Capital Developments team to deliver projects in the Community Projects Portfolio. The Community Projects team has an exciting portfolio of upcoming projects that will deliver incredible open space infrastructure to the Bayside community. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Project Management - Developing and maintaining an effective plan of all project activities at all times, including the management of project interdependencies and constraints.
  • Stakeholder Management - Effectively manage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Financial Management - Manage, forecast, monitor, control risk and report on project financial performance.
  • Contract Management - Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements in construction projects, develop and monitor construction programs.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience in Construction Management, Project Management or relevant extensive industry experience in developing and delivering Open Space Projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and progress the requirements of multiple projects that are being delivered concurrently.
  • Experience in delivering capital projects and diligence in ensuring that project information is captured and reported according to the requirements of Bayside’s PMF.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check 
  • Be willing to undertake a premedical assessment check (if applicable for the role).
