Description: Performs the full range of professional duties required to oversee the processing of special licensing considerations such as: newly hired teachers associated with Title I or other grant funding, teaching out of field exceptions, and conditional teacher licensing; ensures the timely submission and communication regarding certification, endorsement, and approved course work; provides individualized guidance as a subject matter expert regarding licensing requirements; manages escalated licensing issues with appropriate management contact; audits data to ensure licensing history accuracy; creates and produces query reporting for data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
- Five (5) years of progressively more responsible human resources or related experience, two (2) years of which shall have been in the field of the position.
- Knowledge of the theory, procedures, and practices of one or more of the fields of human resources.
- Knowledge of VDOE, VBOE, and federal mandate education/licensing policies, procedures, regulations, and requirements.
- Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to apply knowledge to the needs and requirements of a public school system.
- Ability to provide guidance to culturally diverse personnel.
- Ability to provide subject matter expert advice on complex issues.
- Ability to problem-solve issues by analyzing information, evaluating results, and choosing the best resolution approach.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret data to draw sound conclusions.
- Ability to plan and conduct professional development activities.
- Ability to interpret, assess, draft, and implement modifications to procedures, regulations, and legislation.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with personnel assigned to schools, other departments, and outside community agencies.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
