The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for All In High-Intensity Tutors to work on a temporary basis in schools throughout the division. Individual work assignments will be at one specific school. Work schedules will vary depending on the needs of each individual school.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide high-intensity academic tutoring to students in grades 3-8 that are “at risk” or “not proficient” based on statewide assessment results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Non-licensed tutors must complete the ALL In Tutoring online training that will be available on the Virginia Department of Education ALL In Tutoring website for school divisions
- Ability to facilitate strong, positive relationships with students and understand students’ learning needs in math and reading
- Incorporate progress monitoring into tutoring sessions in order to track student learning progress
- Possess effective reading, writing, and computation skills
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills
- Possess the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to navigate online platforms
- Acceptance of flexible work schedule
- Dependability and punctuality required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold or be eligible to hold a current teaching license in the State of Virginia
Salary: $40/hour – Certified teachers in Virginia
$30/hour - Aides
FLSA: Non-Exempt
