General Information:
Instructors will deliver course instruction in person at regional clinical sites and in person on campus at James Madison University. Topics may include fundamentals, medical-surgical, women’s health, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, and community nursing. Available sections to teach during fall and spring semesters will vary based on enrollment needs, and instructor pay will be based on enrollment numbers. The academic semester begins two weeks prior to the first day of classes each semester.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties are for the academic semester and include course preparation, lecturing, leading discussion, grading, holding weekly office hours, and end of semester reporting.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience in Registered Nursing practice. Master’s degree in nursing is required. A doctoral degree in nursing or related field is preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
