Located off University Blvd. across from E Hall and Jennings, the Arboretum is a great place to get active and have fun while learning about landscaping fundamentals.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include weekly maintenance (weed eating, blowing, mowing), watering, mulching, chipping trails, debris clean up, and you also may assist with planting and weeding. Tools used include but are not limited to: weed eater, blower, walk-behind mower, hand tools such as pruners, loopers, trowel, shovel, rake, mattock, rock bar, etc. Vehicles driven include John Deer Gator and Polaris ATVs and golf carts.

 

Qualifications:

You must have held a valid driver’s license for 2 years or be 19 or older with a valid driver’s license. You must be eligible for Federal Work Study.

Experience helpful but not necessary.

 

Conditions of Employment:  

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).

Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
