General Information:

This is a grant-funded position from December 1, 2024, to February 1, 2026. The role will support the implementation of the YSEALI (Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative) Academic Fellowship Program at JMU.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Collaborate with CGE staff to plan and implement the YSEALI program in Spring 2025 and Fall 2025.
•Provide direct support and guidance to YSEALI fellows during their time in the U.S.
•Assist in preparing program orientation, training sessions, and comprehensive reports.
•Participate in program activities, including overnight travel with the YSEALI fellows.
•Promote the program on social media, newsletter, and other ways of communications.

 

Qualifications:

•Demonstrated experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
•Ability and willingness to travel overnight as required by the program.
•Strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
•Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
•Experience with international protocol/etiquette and/or working with non-English speaking individuals.
•Proficiency with office software and technology, including Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn new platforms.

Conditions of Employment:  

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
