General Information:
The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) is seeking an Associate Director of Operations. This position will report to the Director of Study Abroad, and supervise 2-3 team members on the operations side of the Study Abroad unit, including the Enrollment & Data Manager and the Fiscal Specialist. The Associate Director of Operations will provide a vision to all aspects of Study Abroad operations, including leadership of and policy development for financial management, data management, and enrollment management. Additionally, this position will serve as the primary point of contact for more than 100 faculty across all colleges within the university with regard to financial matters. This position will also be required to serve as a Program Director for study abroad programs on occasion.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the Study Abroad leadership team, alongside the Director and Associate Director of Programs, to assist in creation of overall unit strategy and plans for success.
- Provide direction for all aspects of Study Abroad operations, including supervision of members of the operations team, creating strategy for data and enrollment analysis, and creating strategy for financial management.
- Serve as a Program Director for Study Abroad programs, which includes being responsible for creating course syllabi and curriculum, working with academic unit heads, instructing a course, and grading student assignments.
- Direct the management of more than $10 million in tuition and fee revenue as related to all Study Abroad programming, including financial oversight of five semester programs, 100 faculty-led programs, three global graduate programs, and ten non-credit bearing international programs.
- Provide direction for the creation and implementation of a robust analytics system to track student data and enrollment trends, and evaluate current study abroad processes in creating complex datasets to better project and visualize unit growth
- Develop financial policies and procedures in collaboration with the Division of Finance as related to state, federal, university, and other relative regulations and laws, and provide oversight on the implementation of policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master’s degree in business, finance, accounting, administration or related field
- Previous related experience, preferably in higher education setting working alongside faculty and administrators
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex financial records, budgets, and transactions
- Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel, including operational knowledge advanced formulas and functions; the ability to create spreadsheets and manipulate and analyze data; and the capacity to manage complex data sets and present information in a clear way
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with willingness and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including long and short-term projects
- Ability to navigate multiple software systems to run queries and reports on student information and financial reporting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with multiple campus partners
Preferred:
- Intercultural communication skills and ability to work with non-English speaking individuals
- Prior experience in an international office
- Knowledge of Terra Dotta and its advanced functionality
- Demonstrated knowledge of program budgets and overseeing financial procedures for study abroad
- Experience with strategic planning and program development
- Comfortable with training others on financial process and budget development; adept at public speaking
- Experience with instructing college-level courses
- Previous teaching experience in a college setting
- Experience supervising team members and aiding in their professional growth and development
