General Information:

JMU is in the midst of implementing a very large strategic plan, called Reengineering Madison. Replacing our ERP applications is the last phase of the project and we are excited to offer this position for an Application Manager for the new Oracle ERP Human Capital Management (HCM) system.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will be the Application Manager for the HCM system. Implementation planning for this system begins July 2025. This person will recommend solutions and configure solutions, consult with key stakeholders on user-managed configurations, execute, and manage functions for HCM, including integrations, reviewing and managing new release-related work, documentation, data integrity, and reporting. Ensures effective use of Oracle HCM by staying engaged and current with the software features, enhancements, best practices, and working with partners across campus to make the best use of the application. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with possibility of full remote.

 

Qualifications:

Required
• Significant professional experience working in large and complex Software Systems, such as: Student Information Systems (SIS), Human Resources, Payroll, Financials.
• Professional experience in managing projects.
• Demonstrated technical ability to learn and configure software.
• Demonstrated analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and writing.
• Significant professional experience working with end-users of varying skills and abilities.

• Experience supervising other employees.
