We are seeking an Operations Student Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic school year to provide general office support for about 8-12 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet and assist all Career Center guests, including students, employers, and visitors, serving as the first point of contact and delivering professional, welcoming, and responsive customer service.
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, addressing questions and resolving issues efficiently
Conduct friendly phone calls to JMU graduates about their career outcomes and accurately record their information (their first job or graduate program after graduation).
Provide Career Closest support which could include sorting donations, organize closet and maintain general upkeep
Schedule student appointments with UCC Career Advisors.
Approve job and internship postings in Handshake.
Provide administrative support to UCC staff as needed with office projects.
Provide programmatic support for UCC events such as the Career Fairs
Qualifications:
Be a full-time student
Have availability during business hours 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday
Be detail-oriented
Be able to work intentionally
Be willing to learn new skills required to complete job responsibilities.

Conditions of Employment:
Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
