General Information:

The Office of Faculty Affairs and Curriculum seeks an academic program (APR) review coordinator. JMU academic programs undergo regular review to ensure excellence and to satisfy accreditation requirements. The APR coordinator will be a vital team member, working across Academic Affairs to coordinate APRs, organize site visits for outside consultants, and assist academic units with planning and logistics.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates timeline, scheduling and activities related to annual APR schedule.
• Provides guidance to academic units for APR activities including preparation of internal report, committee composition, site visit logistics and final report processing.
• Manages communications and records across academic units and divisions.
• Updates APR guidance documents according to institutional best practices.
• Oversees acknowledgement letters, APR dossiers and APR communications.
• Provides regular updates and reports to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Curriculum.
• Provides management and assistance in other capacities as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Required
• Licensed driver
• Availability to work outside of regular business hours during academic program reviews
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, and the ability to manage complex schedules
• Demonstrated commitment to building environments that are accessible and welcoming
• Ability to use Microsoft Word
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred
• Experience working in higher education assessment and program review
• Experience with cyclical review processes
