General Information:

Office Assistant in the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Accurately complete, sign and submit to time clock daily work hours.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors, faculty, staff, and students
- Answer telephone calls, respond to office emails, pick up mail/packages, complete data entry, work in teams, and answer general inquiries.
- Practice extreme confidentiality.
- Help ensure organizations adhere to all paperwork deadlines and file paperwork in appropriate locations. Assist chapters with paperwork when needed.
- Function as a member of the Fraternity and Sorority Life staff member by participating in monthly staff meetings.
- Serve as a resource and advocate to the Fraternity and Sorority Life community
- Complete up to 20 hours a week in the office
- Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

James Madison University Undergraduate Student - required
Membership in an FSL office social Sorority/Fraternity - strongly preferred

Conditions of Employment:  

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
