General Information:

This student worker will serve as a multimedia and outreach specialist to handle production and distribution of communication materials, work in the front office and serve as an ambassador for the School of Media Arts and Design.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

This student worker will serve as a multimedia and outreach specialist to handle production and distribution of communication materials, work in the front office, and serve as an ambassador for the School of Media Arts and Design.

 

Qualifications:

1. I understand it is my responsibility to accurately complete, sign, and submit timesheets to my supervisor each pay period. I also understand this is a condition of employment, and after two consecutive time periods (1 month) of not submitting timesheets, I could be terminated from my position.
2. The student worker will assist in all duties to run the SMAD front office and assist SMAD's administrative assistants.
3. The student worker will research, plan, and create online and printed materials related to the promotion of the School of Media Arts and Design and its events.
4. The student worker will be encouraged to create compelling imagery in different ways, including web design, vector art, photography, video, and writing. Having completed SMAD 201 and 202 is preferred.
5. The multimedia specialist will also interview people in the SMAD community and produce content for SMAD social media, the website, an annual SMAD newsletter, and other duties as directed by the SMAD site coordinator.
6. As a student employee in SMAD, the multimedia specialist will serve as an ambassador for the program, which will include giving tours, conducting information sessions, and participating in promotional and informational events for SMAD.

Conditions of Employment:  

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
