  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Harrisonburg

    The Occupational Therapy Clinical Education Services (OTCES) is a pediatric clinic providing one-on-one occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and consultative services, as well as group programs and camps offered to meet the needs of the community. With an academic connection to Department of Health Professions and a clinical connection to the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services, OTCES serves as a teaching-learning environment for students from many different programs while meeting distinct community needs. We are seeking an occupational therapist assistant to provide client care and supervision to occupational therapy students. This position will work collaboratively with the Clinic Director, Assistant Clinic Director, OTCES staff, and Occupational Therapy program faculty.   • Academic Success Program Peer Instructor - IE in Harrisonburg

    The Academic Success Program (ASP) is a program intervention developed to assist JMU students on academic suspension or academic probation employ the academic strategies and personal motivations needed to be successful at JMU. The workshop sessions are focused on topics including time management, motivation/campus resources, studying, self-care, and professional etiquette. Topics will be delivered through discussion and exploration of the actions, strategies, and skills for immediate utilization. Peer Instructors (PIs) for the Academic Success Program (ASP) play a central role in empowering and supporting students facing academic and personal challenges by facilitating the program's curriculum and acting as a support system for ASP students. PIs will be assigned a caseload of 5-8 students with whom they will work throughout the entirety of the program. PIs also help to prepare workshop content and utilize their creative freedom to generate a plan and structure that best suits their facilitation style and the learning style of the student. This position can provide valuable experience for students looking to add new professional skills to their resumes.

Tony Britt Spotter Charts, LLC is a sports information and technology venture headquartered in Harrisonburg, VA. The company provides cheat sheets called “spotter charts” to TV, Radio and Internet broadcasters, ESPN & FOX Sports, 13 NFL teams & 20+ College Football teams. Graduate assistantships include enrollment in the Sport and Recreation graduate program (Sport & Recreation concentration, preferred) and involve 20 hours of work per week at Tony Britt Spotter Charts, LLC during the academic school year. Graduate assistants will begin work prior to the start of the school year and the position continues through the end of the academic year. The position includes a stipend and a tuition waiver.

    The Department of Biology at James Madison University invites applications for two full-time faculty for one year appointments at the rank of Lecturer in the 2025-2026 academic year.
