Assistant Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations in Harrisonburg
The Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is a member of the Philanthropy and Engagement division. The Assistant Director reports to the Senior Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. All duties are carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of Philanthropy and Engagement, the Development Office, and the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations. The Assistant Director advances philanthropic support from private foundations and corporate giving programs by developing and managing a strategic pipeline of funding opportunities aligned with JMU’s strategic priorities. This role leads proposal development, manages charitable sponsorship opportunities, and supports faculty and campus partners in pursuing external funding. The Assistant Director serves as a key connector between campus priorities and funder interests, translating university strengths into compelling philanthropic opportunities and ensuring charitable sponsorships are properly qualified, documented, and stewarded. This position participates actively in the Corporate Partnership Hub engagement team model, ensuring philanthropic sponsorship opportunities are integrated into broader institutional partnership strategies. The position plays a central role in expanding JMU’s philanthropic sponsorship portfolio and driving revenue growth through private philanthropic sources.

The Office of Residence Life at James Madison University is accepting applications for an Assistant Director, Learning Initiatives. The Office of Residence Life is committed to designing and maintaining a caring environment that encourages academic success, respect, personal growth, and responsibility to one’s community. The Assistant Director, Learning Initiatives reports to the Associate Director of Learning Initiatives and supports the mission of the Office of Residence Life by supervising a full-time Coordinator and the Faculty in Residence program, facilitating the growth of the Residential Education Plan which maps to and supports the Student Affairs Strategic Plan, supporting assessment efforts within Residence Life, and managing all aspects of the Residential Learning Communities on campus. This is a full-time, live off position that is part of a close-knit department with over 30 full-time staff members and over 250 student staff members.

The Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS) is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Director of Clinical Services. The Associate Director is a member of the IIHHS Leadership Team, and as a Leadership Team member, takes a broad view in helping to guide the operations and broad direction of the Institute. In their Associate Director role, they oversee and facilitate the operations and functioning of nine clinics housed within CHBS. The Associate Director provides direct supervision of the two full-time staff in the Clinical Billing office, the Child Development Clinic Director, and works closely with Academic Unit Heads in supporting Clinic Directors in the management and administration aspects of clinic operations. The Associate Director reports to the Director of IIHHS and provides fiscal and administrative support for areas and positions within the department. Founded in 2003, the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS) is a community-engaged center of learning, scholarship, and mutual support between James Madison University and the community of Harrisonburg, surrounding counties, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
