This position provides program-wide leadership, ensuring a safe, engaging, and competitive spirit program, overseeing all aspects of program culture, competitive performance, risk management, recruiting, administration, and student-athlete support. The Head Cheerleading Coach will foster a safe, welcoming, and highly visible program that enhances the student-athlete experience, elevates game-day atmosphere, and positively represents the university at the conference and national levels.

    • Athletics Ticket Office Assistant (Part-Time) in Harrisonburg

      The Athletics Ticket Office is looking for enthusiastic, self-sufficient, and committed Ticket Office Assistants with excellent customer service skills to serve in part-time, 1500 hour roles. Candidates will assist with ticketing men’s basketball, women’s basketball, football, NCAA competitions, and other ticketed events in athletic facilities. The position will respond to inquiries, provide information to fans, and process ticketing and fundraising transactions. While this position is part-time, the role will function as a full time staff member by being in the office multiple days a week and assisting on game/event days.

    • Community Assistant - IE in Harrisonburg

      Off-Campus Life (OCL) student Community Assistants provide front-line customer service both in the OCL office and in The Pantry, answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting walk-in guests. Community Assistants help students navigate the transition process of moving into the Harrisonburg community by informing them of available resources and educating them on best practices. Community Assistants also help create a welcoming environment in The Pantry, a free food resource for students experiencing food insecurity, while maintaining inventory and upkeep of the space. Additionally, our Community Assistants help with several programs throughout the year to help build community for our off-campus and commuter student population and to help students gain the skills and knowledge needed to make informed decisions in their off-campus communities.

    • Madison Money Mentor - IE in Harrisonburg

      Off-Campus Life is here to help students as they transition into the Harrisonburg community. The Madison Money Mentors program is designed to help students understand a variety of basic financial literacy concepts and practices through relatable, peer-to-peer education. With a focus on five key areas of financial knowledge, the program aims to cultivate long-term financial security for students and prepare them for the challenges of living on their own. Mentors will help create safe and productive environments for students to learn and explore different financial concepts relevant to their collegiate experience in a one-on-one capacity, as well as leading workshops on various financial literacy topics for larger groups of students.

    • Technical and Operations Fellowships - Forbes Center for the Performing Arts in Harrisonburg

      Technical and Operations Fellowships at the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts at James Madison University provide advanced, hands-on training in theatre production and stage management, as well as opportunities to operate state-of-the-art audio, lighting and video systems. The Fellowship begins Sunday, August 30, 2026 and runs through Saturday, May 8, 2027. Fellowships require a season-long commitment. The Fellow will receive a stipend total of $17,225 for the 36 week contract, which will be paid in increments bi-weekly. The Fellow will not work more than 40 hours per week, but will average 29 hours per week across the length of the contract. Housing and benefits are not included.
