The Office of Professional Development and Engagement (OPDE) within the College of Business is accepting applications for a Program Manager. The OPDE is dedicated to enhancing the student experience at the College of Business by providing professional development learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. Through internships, externships, business visits, job-shadowing executives, and co-curricular programs, students can gain valuable leadership skills, professional insights, and hands-on experiences that will set them apart in the job market. The Professional Development and Engagement Program Manager supports the office's mission by assisting with various professional development programs, managing communication efforts, and ensuring the success of engagement events. This position will provide exposure to a wide range of experiential learning opportunities and assist students in their journey to becoming capable, qualified, and engaged business leaders.

Talent Development Intern - IE in Harrisonburg
JMU Talent Development (TD) is seeking an undergraduate or graduate intern to assist the department with special projects related to the training and development of AP Faculty, classified staff, and wage employees at JMU. Projects may include, but are not limited to: • Researching competencies related to employment at JMU and making recommendations for updating the current model. • Creating an assessment, based on the competencies, that assists employees in making decisions regarding their professional development needs. • Assisting with the development and possible delivery of content. Providing support for the team, as needed, by: • Staging and resetting training rooms • Preparing handouts • Assisting with marketing efforts • Reviewing training evaluations and offering recommendations This is a part-time wage position working an average of 15 hours per week over the school year (32 weeks) with no benefits.
