    • Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) - Data Science in Harrisonburg

      The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at James Madison University invites applications for one tenure-track position in data science at the assistant professor level to begin in August 2025. We are particularly interested in individuals whose research and teaching interests align with core areas of data science, such as data management, machine learning, predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, network analysis and graph theory, and natural language processing. The candidate will have the opportunity to help develop and deliver a data science major and graduate certificate within the department. James Madison University, located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, is an R2 state research university with an approximate enrollment of 22,000 students. Our energetic, collegial department has over 50 full-time faculty in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education. Our programs provide meaningful learning experiences for majors and non-majors alike, both within and outside of the classroom. We care about people and value high-quality undergraduate education. Scholarship in a broad variety of forms is supported and valued across all disciplines represented in the department. We have a strong history of supporting undergraduate research and outreach efforts. For example, for decades the department has been an NSF-REU site and has organized and hosted a large, regional undergraduate research conference.

    • College of Education Recruitment Coordinator (Part-Time) in Harrisonburg

      The College of Education is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time College Recruitment Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in attracting, engaging, and enrolling prospective students interested in pursuing a degree in education. The successful candidate will work closely with the admissions office, faculty, and marketing team to implement recruitment strategies, participate in outreach activities, and build relationships with potential students.

    • Nursing - Adjunct Faculty Pool in Harrisonburg

      Instructors will deliver course instruction in person at regional clinical sites and in person on campus at James Madison University. Topics may include fundamentals, medical-surgical, women’s health, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, and community nursing. Available sections to teach during fall and spring semesters will vary based on enrollment needs, and instructor pay will be based on enrollment numbers. The academic semester begins two weeks prior to the first day of classes each semester.
