Job Summary/Basic Functions

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Assistant Director of Training Compliance and System Support. The Assistant Director works closely with the Associate Controller for Training, Compliance and System Support (TCSS) and the Director of TCSS to support the Administration and Finance division in finance related systems, securities and operational protocol. This is a functional position that serves as a liaison between the Finance department and the IT department to troubleshoot and resolve third party interface issues, banner and third party upgrades and interfaces, testing and troubleshooting. This position serves as security contact for eVA, Banner, and Cashnet systems and will work with respective state and private system contacts for system help ticket issuance and resolve. The position is responsible for community training and educational materials, e commerce operations, data integrity and resolve functions, and website and form design. The Assistant Director must be comfortable leading or participating in both small and large scale settings and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the following: integrated enterprise systems, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, data review and testing protocol.
  • Experienced in writing test plans for systems testing and operational procedures.
  • Knowledge of web and form design and Adobe products.
  • Proficient in data reconciliation and data integrity oversight functions. 
  • Experience leading small- or large-scale training programs.

Required Experience:

  • Experience managing and analyzing data, systems, and user security profiles within defined security requirements.
  • Knowledge or experience with website management and design to include web forms.
  • Knowledge or experience developing and leading training programs in written, video and verbal formats.
  • Experience serving in a support role or as a subject matter expert for data, system or operational resolves.
  • Experience working with project teams and/or with project implementation plans. 
  • Experienced in data reconciliation and data integrity oversight functions.

 

Additional Considerations:

KSAs

  • Advanced knowledge of Commonwealth procurement and accounts payable regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Banner Finance.
  • Advanced knowledge of eVA, eVA interfaces, eVA security, and procurement and accounts payable operational procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of e-commerce systems , third party interfaces, and administration requirements.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors' degree and/or related required experience 


Experience

  • Advanced experience with smart form design.
  • Advanced experience with Visio and Adobe software or similar tools for form design and visual representation of task or procedures.
  • Experience with Sharepoint 365.
  • Experience with Web design.
  • Experience working in a Higher Education environment or working for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
