Job Summary/Basic Functions

The University of Mary Washington, a Division III member of the NCAA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Lecturer/Head Men's Lacrosse Coach. The Head Men's Lacrosse Coach will be responsible for all facts of the program, including, but not limited to, recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, academic performance of student athletes, team budget and travel, fundraising, assistant coaches, practice and game preparation and other duties as assigned. The head coach will also be a member of the faculty and responsible for teaching courses within the department of Athletics, Health, and Physical Education. This individual will be required to be CPR and 1st Aid certified. As members of the athletic department and teaching faculty, head coaches play a role in service to the College of Education as well as the university.

The Head Men's Lacrosse Coach will be responsible for all facts of the program, including, but not limited to, recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, academic performance of student athletes, overseeing team budget and travel, fundraising, overseeing assistant coaches, practice and meet preparation and other duties as assigned. The head coach will also be responsible for teaching courses within the department of Athletics, Health, and Physical Education and is required to be CPR and 1st Aid certified. As members of the teaching faculty, head coaches play a role in service to the College of Education as well as the university.

Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications

  • Coaching at the Collegiate Level

 

Required Experience:

  • Lacrosse coaching and teaching

 

Additional Considerations:

  • Experience as a head coach or assistant collegiate coach.
  • CPR/First aid instructor certified.
