The Director of Regional Partnerships will collaborate with the VEDP Regional Internship Manger and work with a group representing the work-based learning ecosystem. Specifically, the director will convene a subgroup of career development professionals in the higher education institutions located within the region. This group will champion strengthening and growing educational support and development of students as they prepare to enter and thrive in internships within the region. This regional role will work to connect employers to students and assure readiness of employers, students, and institutions to significantly increase the number of high-quality paid internships and other work-based learning opportunities within GO Virginia Region 6. This position is grant funded.

This role is responsible for the overall administration of financial aid programs while providing effective leadership and management to ensure compliance with all federal, state and institutional financial aid program policies and regulations. While this individual will develop policies and procedures that will govern the Office of Financial Aid, they will also develop and execute the financial aid strategy to maximize new and continuing student enrollment. This individual will advise senior leaders on new regulatory requirements, trends, and best practices, while collaborating with colleagues across campus including Finance, Advancement, Admissions, Business Services, and other offices co-located in the Student Services Center of Lee Hall to ensure a student-centered, customer service approach. In addition to maintaining strong operations in the unit, the Financial Aid Director must be able to take the lead on data analysis and strategic projections regarding budgets, enrollments, and the strategic use of financial aid.
