Position Summary

The University of Southern Indiana seeks applications for a 12-month Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions. The position is tenure track and promotion eligible. The appointment will begin May 2025 or when position is filled. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Duties/Responsibilities 

This position is responsible for classroom teaching responsibilities in the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree, an unencumbered Indiana RN (or compact) license and an active APRN certification. Candidates in the process of completing their doctoral degree will be considered. The successful candidate must possess a doctoral degree by the start date of employment.

About the College

The faculty in the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions work collaboratively with nursing and other health care professional faculty. The support for faculty’s teaching, practice and scholarship activities are substantially enhanced through grants and other extramural funding. A cutting-edge Clinical Simulation Center is used to enhance student learning and support innovative teaching.

The college, in addition to university support, Kinney College's technology team supports online and in-classroom teaching for MSN and DNP program courses. A dedicated Advising Center for the College provides support for student advising and related activities. All programs are fully accredited and have an exemplary record of grant award successes.
